So we know this is actually the post from yesterday, but we just discovered 30DOJ today. And this mortician-ish gentleman to your left is one Timothy Conley of Louisiana MO, who apparently has grave cause to hate Jay Nixon. Surely Jay must have wronged him in some deep, irreparable manner or levied some dastardly insult to the Conley clan. I mean, surely it couldn’t be something totally harmless in the big picture, right? Wait, what’s that?
Timothy, apparently, is mad because Jay refused to ride into town on the steed of justice and shut down a hotel and restaurant which “remains non-compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is in gross violation of the fire code.” NOOOOO!!!! Talk about a reason to kick someone to the curb! What else have you got, Timothy?
I have publicly addressed these issues with Nixon, yet he has failed to take action. Despite the glaring safety and non-compliance issues, this business remains open to the public. Nixon has not initiated an investigation into the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tax credits received by the investors, and he has made no effort to encourage the local prosecutor to file charges for violation of the state license requirements.
Well. Perhaps the Attorney General was preoccupied with larger matters? Say… the tobacco settlement? Going after criminals of all stripes? Things like that?
It’s hard for us to dislike Timothy, though, given this: “I also support the election of Barack Obama for President of the United States.” But honestly, Kenny, you couldn’t have found a more egregious tale to kick off your monthlong tirade against Jay?
