For so very long, things seemed relatively calm and placid in the world of Ink, KC’s Most Important Social Networkingish “Media” Site. Those crazy kids went about their business, sharing information about local events and becoming online representations of friends. But now a threat has emerged — a threat that could tear the idyllic Ink world asunder. Paulie, our favorite “frink” and reliable source of delightful craziness, has long been among the most prolific “frinks.” But now he faces an online competitor, one “SLIMMphoto,” and the widening gulf between them has become evident to, uh… those of us who are forced to follow these things. Read on for evidence of the impending Great Ink Schism.
Now, Paulie has faced online competition before, most notably in the form of “frink” SavageAnimal, but Paulie of course used his unique combination of half-jokes and misspellings to quash that threat. But SLIMMphoto seems different: more determined, quicker to respond, taking things to a personal level. Some of his comments of late, all sic:
w/r/t Paulie’s views on radio profanity: Paulie, do you just write this shit to get a reaction?
w/r/t Paulie’s complaints about the sex wars: the only men that women are powerless over are called, homosexuals!!!!
At least with sexuality it is.
Sure, it’s different in other areas but sex is the trump card that controls all.w/r/t Paulie’s Hereford House lamentation: Its a steak house. Its a steak house like every other steak house in the city. saying its the best is like saying the McDonalds on Wornall is the best one in town.
w/r/t Paulie’s views on marriage: Its nothing more than more religious bullshit forced upon the masses!
Sigh.
Be warned, SLIMMphoto. Paulie is Ink’s reigning elder statesman, and does not easily tolerate dissent. Think Cheney, think Robespierre, think Pol Pot. Think twice, in other words, before challenging him. But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to see this kind of challenge from a man with this text in his profile:
