Sad news from the household of Kansas state Tray-zher and Congresswoman-elect Lynn Jenkins today: her husband of 25 years, Scott Jenkins, has filed for divorce. We learned of it from Prime Buzz, but rest assured that our friend Todd over at Kansas Watch is all over this, given his deep love for his “Bepearled CPA Girl Crush,” a phrase so good we wish we’d made it up. (He’s just kidding, though: Todd notes that he’s been married since 1981 — the year I was born, incidentally.) What could have torn the Jenkins home asunder? The pressure of campaigning? The on-screen projections of Giant Lynn? The visit from Mitt Romney, certified Rich & Handsome Man? Who knows? Let’s just hope, for our government’s sake, that this distracts her from that silly no-tax ATR pledge she signed.
