It’s a sad day for local right-wing “writer” and reliable anti-libertine Jack Cashill. Today’s Wall Street Journal contains a sprawling essay by the eminent British writer Jonathan Raban, who lavishes praise upon President-elect Barack Obama and his much-scorned-by-Cashill memoir, Dreams From My Father. Take note, Jack: when one of America’s most reliably conservative papers is acknowledging what a great work the book is, it’s probably time to abandon your ill-advised quest to expose it as a fraud. (Oh, and please note our usage of “fraud.”) Please just stick with your comically inept playwriting.
