Posted in Environment, Ink, Local Journalism, tagged Captain Fauxhawk, Frink Panel, Vegetarianism on November 10, 2009 | Leave a Comment »
Perhaps you’re aware that Ink, this city’s sassiest weekly, long ago convened a panel of KC’s young intelligentsia (a group from which we were excluded, despite much pretend-lobbying). Hard to believe, but the mini-RAND keeps on truckin’, addressing everything from Obama’s Nobel Prize to, uh, hypothetical vegetarianism. It’s the lord’s work.

SOTL Poet Laureate “mminnoe,” Philosopher-King of the Examiner.net Blogdom, once again looks to popular entertainment to solve our nation’s various quandaries. Readers may recall that in his previous treatise, which has come to be known as the “Kenworth Doctrine,” mminnoe suggested that the TV show ”24″ can help the U.S. devise a viable 21st-Century geopolitical strategy (and also shared [...]

Ah, Walter Winch: so many times you’ve brought us the sheer joy of your barely coherent ramblings. It’s a good thing you’re a dedicated environmentalist, and thus remain squarely on our side. What’s going on here in your latest column, “Smile When You Pillage”? Are you attacking logging companies? Quoting Shakespeare and Pink Floyd? Making [...]

Prolix Star columnist and reliable source of folksy imagery C.W. Gusewelle took Kansas City by storm yesterday with his latest column, which, as always, is a simply delightful mix of purple prose and down-home sensibility. This time C-dub sets his sights squarely on the Bush administration’s coal policy, which does not meet with the good [...]
